The SAFE MIT project is an educational and awareness-raising initiative designed to raise awareness around the topic of irregular migration and provide safe alternatives among young people in Morocco.<\/p>\n\n

In a context where many youths face limited opportunities, misinformation, and uncertainty about their future, irregular migration has become an increasingly pressing challenge. This project responds by empowering young people with knowledge, critical thinking skills, and realistic alternatives, enabling them to make informed decisions about their futures.<\/p>\n\n

Aligned with Morocco\u2019s national strategy and inspired by the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI\u2014emphasizing a humane, rights-based, and development-oriented approach to migration\u2014the project places youth at the center of sustainable change.<\/p>\n\n

Context and Rationale<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Irregular migration remains a growing concern, particularly among young people aged 13 to 18. Driven by factors such as lack of opportunities, social pressure, and misleading<\/p>\n

\u00a0information, many youths are vulnerable to risky migration pathways.<\/p>\n\n

Morocco\u2019s geographical position makes it both a transit and origin country, increasing the urgency of preventive, inclusive, and sustainable solutions. Addressing this challenge requires investing in education, awareness, and youth empowerment as long-term solutions.<\/p>\n\n
