1. Objective

The primary objective of this consultancy is to enhance the digital presence of the SAFE-MIT project within the Moroccan territory. The Social Media Manager will create and manage culturally resonant content that speaks directly to Moroccan youth, using local nuances to raise awareness about the risks of irregular migration and the availability of local opportunities.

2. Scope of Work (The “Content-First” Approach)

A. Strategic Localization (Morocco Context)
  • Adapt the project’s core messages into Moroccan Darija to ensure maximum relatability and impact.
  • Identify and target high-risk geographical zones within Morocco (e.g., regions with high migration trends) through organic and paid strategies.
  • Define a “Tone of Voice” that is empowering, protective, and youth-friendly (avoiding the “preachy” institutional tone).
B. Content Production & Creative Assets

The consultant is expected to produce a “Ready-to-Publish” content bank:

  • Visual Posts (30): Designing high-quality graphics and carousels (Instagram/Facebook) focused on safe migration facts and local success stories.
  • Short-Form Video (15 Reels): Creating engaging videos (30-60 sec) using Moroccan trends, storytelling, or “POV” styles to highlight trafficking red flags.
  • Interactive Stories:Weekly interactive stories (Polls, “Ask me a question”, Quizzes) to boost engagement and gather youth feedback.
C. Community & Campaign Management
  • Daily Management: Moderate comments and messages in Darija, fostering a safe space for discussion.
  • Ads Management: Set up and monitor a targeted Facebook/Instagram ad campaign focusing on the Moroccan youth demographic (Age 15-30).
  • Monitoring: Track daily engagement metrics and adjust the content plan based on what resonates with the Moroccan audience.

3. Key Deliverables

  1. Morocco-Specific Content Calendar: A full schedule of posts, captions (in Darija/Arabic), and hashtags.
  2. Visual Identity Kit: A set of templates (Canva/PS) tailored for the project’s Moroccan campaign.
  3. Video Library: All produced Reels HD.
  4. Final Impact Report: Detailed analytics on reach, engagement, and sentiment analysis of the Moroccan audience.

4. Required Qualifications

  • Native/Fluent in Moroccan Darija: Essential for authentic content creation.
  • Content Portfolio: Proven experience in creating viral or high-engagement content for the Moroccan market.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in mobile video editing (CapCut/InShot) and graphic design (Canva/Adobe Suite).
  • Social Sensitivity: Understanding of the migration landscape in Morocco and the ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy and professionalism.
